Eid Mubarak to all that celebrated Eid last weekend! I hope you all had a wonderful day with family and friends.
As you may know, Eid is my favourite holiday of the year.
Whilst setting up my Eid table on Thursday evening, I had a bright idea, to make these puzzle cookies for the kids to give away to their friends. Inspired by the works of many of my Muslim blogger friends, I thought I’d get cracking to share this blog with you 🙂

Making your Cookie Dough:
• Cream 200g of softened butter with 200g of caster sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
• Add to the mixture 1 beaten egg and mix well.
• Add a tsp of vanilla
• Add in 400g of sifted plain flour, and mix to form a cookie dough.
• Allow the dough to rest, and heat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Once the dough has rested, roll out the dough and cut to form the puzzle.
Place the puzzle pieces onto lined baking sheets and then bake until golden brown.
Allow the cookies to cool, and then cover each piece with rolled fondant.
Outline your artwork using edible markers.
Paint the puzzle as desired.
Package your puzzle pieces into a gift box, and give them to friends that might enjoy this delicious puzzle!
